A Fun Summer Tea Party Wedding at Farnham Castle – Darryl & Greg
I’m finally blogging about Darryl and Greg’s wedding, which I shot at Farnham Castle last July. Darryl and Greg are one of the most lovely, fun couples I’ve met, and it really showed on their wedding day! All their guests were so much fun as well, and I really enjoyed myself and almost forgot I was working! We were also very lucky with perfect weather on a July summers day!
I loved how Darryl tied in her ‘something blue’ with her flowers, shoes, earrings, and even nails!
Luckily because the whole wedding was all in one place, and the bridal preparation suite is just across the courtyard from the main castle, I was able to dash over to meet Greg and his son to take a few photos of them before the ceremony.
I just loved how Darryl and Greg actually danced down the aisle after the ceremony!! They had this image in colour on the front cover of their wedding album (see end of blog).
Darryl and Greg had a tea party consisting of a round of sandwiches and pastries, followed by a yummy patisserie selection, instead of the full 3 course Wedding Breakfast – I think this is such a good idea!
Greg had a surprise video message play during the speeches, from a family member who couldn’t attend the wedding, which made for a very emotional response! There were two wedding cakes! One that Darryl and Greg had sourced from The Too Good To Eat Cake Company in Farnham, and the other was brought by Greg’s parents – a traditional Jamaican rum cake – yum!
They had two parent albums with the main album, and I’m so pleased I found the perfect colour for the spine of the album to go with their colour scheme!
