Clair & Simon’s Vintage Wedding at the Mercure Bush Hotel Farnham

Clair and Simon got married at the Mercure Bush Hotel in Farnham, back in May this year. I am one of the recommended suppliers at the Bush Hotel, and have lived in Farnham all my life, so know the hotel and the area very well indeed! I had so much fun at this wedding, even though I didn’t stay to the end (I covered the bridal preparations up until the end of the speeches) and Clair and Simon are such a lovely couple. I can’t believe Clair has four grown up children – she doesn’t look old enough!

They had a bit of a vintage and navy blue theme for their wedding, with Clair wearing a beautiful dress with a lace bolero, the men wore top hats and canes with their traditional morning suits, and they had a fantastic classic car to take Clair to the hotel, then take them for a little spin after the ceremony.

Clair says “We would recommend all of our suppliers, Confetti and Lace, Farnham for my dress, shoes and lace bolero, House of Fraser for Bridesmaids dresses, Goodridges of Farnham for all the formal menswear, Classic Vintage for our beautiful car,  Borrelli Flowers, Farnham for the gorgeous flowers, M&S for the wedding cake, Sheri for doing all our hair, Lancôme for make-up, Monsoon Accessorize and Not on The High Street for all the pretty little bits and bobs that weddings require and especially The Bush Hotel, who did such a fantastic job; the day ran perfectly, the food was excellent and they were so lovely to us.”

I sent a sneaky peek of a few photos to Clair and Simon when they were on their honeymoon, and got this great response:

“OMG!! I wouldn’t normally say this about photos including myself, but these are really great Ginny! Thank you soo much, wow! Big smiles here in Hawaii from both of us, the day had come flooding back!! Love love love the group car one!! Love all of them  you’re brilliant! Xxx”
