Roshni & Rahul’s Vibrant Indian Wedding at Syon Park, Surrey

Such an Amazing Day!

I was recently asked by Charles of Galileo Photography if I could help him photograph a big Indian wedding, and I jumped at the chance! I’d photographed an Arabic Muslim Wedding before, which I absolutely loved, so I was really excited as this was my first Indian Hindu Wedding, and what an experience!

As with many Indian weddings, the celebrations and ceremonies go on over quite a few different days, and Charles couldn’t photograph all of them, as he was already booked on one or two of the dates. So I stepped in to photograph one of their pre-wedding parties, which was a really great chance for me to get to know Roshni and Rahul and their family before the main wedding ceremony. Then I photographed the main wedding with Charles, starting with Rahul and the boys getting ready…

Here is The Story of Their main wedding day…

We arrive at Syon Park and Rahul gets a big entrance with drums and all his family and friends following him into the ceremony. I just loved all the fun, laughter and dancing!

The entrance of the Bride… Rahul is covered so he can’t see Roshni until she is standing in front of him on the Mehndi stage area. Then there’s a big reveal!

We took Roshni and Rahul into the grounds of Syon Park for some photos of just the two of them and to have some chillout time (the marquee was so hot it was nice to get some fresh air!).

It was then back into the marquee for some games with the immediate family, before a big send off for the bride and groom after everyone had finished eating.
