Donna And Kevin’s Romantic Gold and Glittery Farnham Castle Wedding

The Happy Couple…

Donna and Kevin are so lovely and work so well together! They met at work, became the best of friends and now they’re inseparable. Kevin proposed to Donna out of the blue while they were relaxing at home. Kevin is from an Irish family and he loves music, including playing the piano and accordion. Donna is a stay at home mum to their three gorgeous children and thoroughly enjoys exercise and being creative.

I did a pre-wedding shoot for Donna, Kevin and their three children in Farnham Park, which is next to the Castle, so it tied in beautifully. We put 10 of the images into a lovely signing book so their friends and family could write them messages on congratulations on their wedding day.

The Venue… Farnham Castle, Surrey

Donna and Kevin had their beautiful and classic October wedding at Farnham Castle in Surrey. The selling factor for why they chose Farnham Castle was that it has a nice Romantic feel to it and they both love history too!

Farnham Castle is full of history and exudes sophistication and style. Therefore, it’s no shock that Farnham Castle is recommended as one of the most enchanting wedding venues in England!

The Castle has a choice of ceremony settings, and the fabulous Great Hall is perfect for your wedding reception. The yummy world-class food is prepared in the Castle kitchens by a talented catering team; it also has breath-taking landscaped grounds and accommodation. Recent renovations have really brought Farnham Castle up to date. It makes it easy for me as a Farnham wedding photographer to get some beautiful images!

Wedding Style… A classic Gold and Glam 1930’s theme with lots of Glitter and Lights!

Donna and Kevin wanted a classic, romantic wedding feel. The venue was built in the 17th Century and the fabulous Great Hall has a warm feel to it.

Donna’s dress was vintage lace style and her bridesmaids wore beautiful light gold floor length dresses that suited the theme perfectly and looked so elegant and sparkly.

Donna and Kevin’s theme of Gold and Glitter was absolutely fabulous and really made the castle stand out and the room fitted perfectly! Not only this but they also incorporated a 1930’s art deco style to compliment the gold with beautiful stationery, giant balloons, elegant flowers from Gardenia of London and an amazing gold cake with fresh flowers to match Donna’s bouquet, from Jo Turner Cakes.

Highlight of the Day… Glittery face paint, DIY photobooth and live accordion music from the Groom himself!

I absolutely loved the gold sparkly colour scheme, which included gold glittery face paint that came out in the evening! I think this was a great touch! Even the men got covered! This made their DIY photo booth even more fun 😀

Also, Kevin is very talented on the accordion it was great to watch everyone dancing and thoroughly enjoying themselves and getting involved. They then had a great Irish band to kick off the dancing. I love a bit of Irish music!
