Dawn & Russell’s Stunning Wedding at Stansted House, Rowlands Castle, Hampshire

The Happy Couple

Russell and Dawn met when she was working for Lloyds Bank and he joined the branch as a Business Manager at the time. Dawn was working on the enquiries desk and he came over one day and asked her to go for a drink after work which she was mortified by! However 12 years later the rest is history!

After they had been together a couple of years, they booked a holiday to San Francisco and Hawaii. When they were in Hawaii they went for a walk along the beach on the second night and Russell proposed! No ring, he said he wanted Dawn to help pick it when they got back to the UK. Dawn was the first of their group of friends to get engaged, she was then the last to get married!! Thats what a 10 year engagement does for you!

The Wedding Theme

The colour scheme was Berry and Gold to tie in with the Winter. It was so simple, yet elegant.

The Venue

Dawn and Russell chose Stansted House as it was local ( they both grew up in Portsmouth) and just loved how beautiful the house was. It was also the perfect size for the intimate small wedding that they wanted. They looked at quite a few barn venues as they liked the idea of that, but felt that they would have just got lost in them as only wanted 50 guests. If you ask Russell why he picked Stansted his answer is ‘the view’!!

Highlight of The Day

Russell said his highlight was seeing Dawn and the boys walk down the aisle. Dawn’s was purely having all her close friends and family that she loved in the same place at once and how well behaved their two boys were!! They were both very proud that everyone was telling them how good they were and how adorable they looked!

Personally one of my highlights was having DJ Brian Mole entertain everybody by getting them to play a little game before the first dance, which got some laughs and great photos! It really does make a massive difference to have a DJ who can get all your guests excited to join in and have fun with you.
