Ellen & Marc’s English Country Vintage Wedding at The Casa Hotel in Yateley
I had so much fun at Ellen and Marc’s wedding at The Casa Hotel in Yateley! They met many years ago at an old favourite Rock club of mine, The Agincourt in Camberley – I knew we got on well! I loved their colour scheme of pastel colours, pale blue bridesmaids dresses. Especially the vintage decorations including picture frames and little jars of flowers were a lovely touch.
The whole day went perfectly. It was warm weather and we had a nice cloud covering – perfect lighting for photos 🙂 I was so excited after I did a bit of exploring before the wedding – I found not one, but two, gorgeous new spots for photos that I hadn’t been to before, and I was so pleased we got to both!! Although, it was a little muddy in places so as a result I advised the Bride to bring her trainers… (worth it for great photo locations!)
I just love a gorgeous English field in the countryside, with tall grass or crops, for bride and groom photos!
We also had Danny from Red Hat Magic to entertain us with his magical skills during the reception. Everyone was so impressed, including me – I seriously don’t know how he does his clever tricks! A bit of magical entertainment really works wonders and brings everyone together. It creates a much more fun atmosphere, lots of laughs and more conversation, therefore bringing more animated faces to capture on my camera!
Then to top it all off, one of their guests didn’t turn up (bad for them, but good for me), so therefore I had a 3 course meal and got to sit with some of their guests for dinner! Couldn’t let it go to waste. The food at The Casa is really yummy, I totally recommend it.
Here’s a fabulous sneak preview of their day and some English Country wedding inspiration…
Please keep an eye out for updates on this blog 🙂
