Giving Holly Some Confidence… Gorgeous You Portrait Session!

A Nervous and Unconfident Client

My office manager Holly has zero confidence in front of the camera, like so many of us! Apart from working with me, she also owns a make up business called Love to Shimmer, selling Younique mineral based make up, so I suggested that she has a shoot with me, using her gorgeous products and I would show her just how awesome she can look! She was very sceptical… I love a good challenge!

One of her make up colleagues Fran, who is an absolute whizz at creating some stunning looks did Holly’s make up. I did a shoot for her too…(watch this space for her blog)!

When I asked Holly why she hates her photo being taken, she said “I just always look awful – I’m overweight anyway and I feel like the camera just adds even more weight to me”!!

Now I KNOW that’s not true, I just had to get Holly to believe it herself and realise that a good photographer, good makeup and clever posing makes ALL the difference 🙂

It’s all About the Pose

Over the years, I’ve gained amazing knowledge in posing women in the most flattering positions to get the best image possible. I practised a lot of these with Holly and she was so chuffed with the results!
