Rachel and Steve’s Country Style wedding at The Tithe Barn, Petersfield.
The Happy Couple…
It was such a pleasure to photograph Rachel and Steve’s wedding – I first met Rachel many years ago, because we used to work together at the Bat & Ball pub in Farnham.
According to Rachel, they met at a friends house, and Steve was already there; Rachel turned up late and they just hit it off. They met up a week later and the rest is history. Incredibly though they found out they had grown up only a few doors down from one another and had in fact been to the same school!! What are the chances of that!
He proposed at Newlands Corner, a beautiful part of the North Downs, during a winter sunrise.
The Venue… The Tithe Barn, Petersfield
This beautiful Tithe barn nestled close to the South Downs at Old Ditcham Farm, Petersfield, situated near the Hampshire and West Sussex borders. The origins of the present building are shrouded in mystery, now listed Grade II*. It’s had many uses over the years and is now restored to its beautiful former glory.
Wedding Style… Soft hues creams and greens with soft tones of purple in the bouquets
Rachel and Steve’s colour schemes and decor worked beautifully with the rustic, country wedding theme that Rachel had planned and coordinated. Rachel and Steve were keen to keep a relaxed feel with a summer party vibe.
The table decorations used ivy sprigs with natural soft hues on the table runners, and the bouquets intertwined soft grey/greens with purples and creams.
