Rebecca and Tom’s Intimate Wedding, Frensham, Surrey

Rebecca and Tom got married on a very cold but sunny February day at the church of St Mary the Virgin Church in Frensham, Surrey, which is a church I’ve photographed weddings in quite a few times. Their wedding was very intimate with only a handful of close family and friends, and they got in touch with me to capture some lovely photos of the two of them before they went off for dinner.

What surprised me is that they didn’t want me to take any photos during the ceremony at all! I took a few photos of their guests after the ceremony, as well as their gorgeous daughter, but spent most of my time with the two of them down at one of my favourite places and just down the road from the church, in Frensham.

Here are a few photographs of their special day…..

Rebecca says “We didn’t have many suppliers for the wedding as it was all quite simple, but my dress was from Belle and Bunty and Toms suit from The Kooples; Flowers by Helen Anton and my family, hair by our friend Nita.”

The ceremony took place in St Mary the Virgin Church – Frensham, Surrey which is a beautiful church steeped in history. The annals of Waverley Abbey record that the building of St. Mary the Virgin church began in 1239 and that it replaced an even earlier church.  For the photos, we went to Frensham Little Pond which covers an area of nearly 136 acres of mainly heathland and open water, providing a haven for rare animals. The Little Pond is man-made and was formed when a dam was built in 1246. It was drained during the Second World War to remove distinctive identification features and used for tank training before being filled in again in 1949. Recreational activities such as swimming, sunbathing and sailing are kept to the Great Pond but you can enjoy a beautiful walk around Little Pond.

If you’re having a very small wedding and only want a small amount of coverage during the ceremony and/or photos afterwards, I do offer smaller wedding packages depending on how many guests you’ve got and what you’d like covered, so please do ask!

Many thanks for checking out my wedding photography! If you or anyone you know if getting married at this venue (or another venue!) then please Contact Me for a full price list and availability.
